A methodological proposal for the creation of ES-EN dialogic consecutive interpretation exercises for pedagogical and research purposes
Abstract
This article presents the creation of two dialogic consecutive interpretation exercises. It provides an overview of interpretation pedagogy in Mexico, its challenges, and some psychopedagogical proposals regarding interpreter training. Additionally, it highlights the areas of opportunity in creating materials for interpreter training. The methodological steps followed for the creation of the exercises, their implementation, data treatment, as well as the Learner Interpretation Corpus, are discussed. The article concludes with recommendations for material design, its pedagogical benefits, and research opportunities.Downloads
