Abstract
The encounter among people from different cultures in everyday life is a source for learning because it emerges from the real needs of awareneness. To open to non-canonized learning from the institutionalized system and to understand that our dignity depends on the awareness of the dignity of the others means to challenge categories that exist on the basis of our school and academic training, and which have helped to shape our interpretation of life. Thus, in this article I propose to reflect on the necessary changes which favor the advance towards an intercultural education which values and establishes a dialogue with those conceptions about life of Latin American peoples who have been discriminated by the academy.Downloads
