Cronotopos y dialogismo, elementos destacados en el discurso de las comunidades zapatistas en resistencia: de abril a junio de 1998

Abstract

Using the tools of discourse analysis, I analyze the communiques from various Zapatista communities in resistance that were released between April and June, 1998. The communiques denounce the threats and aggressions they suffer at the hands of police and military forces, establish their political positions, discuss the building of autonomy, and call for national and international solidarity in detaining the war. The analysis focuses mainly on an examination of the historic and social determinants that are behind the production of texts, with less emphasis on the formal elements of the texts.
