La relación de gestos y lenguaje en niños con retraso inicial del lenguaje: un estudio en dos tiempos.
Abstract
El retraso inicial del lenguaje se observa como un desfase en el desarrollo del lenguaje, igual o mayor a 6 meses. El uso de gestos es un factor importante en la evolución del vocabulario comprensivo y expresivo de la población con este problema. Se aplicó un instrumento de reporte materno y se grabaron muestras de lenguaje espontáneo a una muestra de 8 niños con retraso inicial, con la finalidad de observar los gestos y el crecimiento de vocabulario en dos tiempos de evaluación. Se encontraron diferencias importantes en el uso de gestos, niveles de comprensión y los datos obtenidos mediante ambos instrumentos de evaluación. El vocabulario temprano fue un predictor del nivel de lenguaje en etapas posteriores.Downloads
