Nuevas miradas a un fenómeno del español antillano: pronombres personales sujeto yo y tú (siglos XVII y XIX)

Abstract

The present work constitutes the revision of the subject pronouns yo and tú, in Antillean texts during two temporary cuts: Seventeenth and Nineteenth centuries, to verify how the variables considered in the synchrony could influence in their presence, at the moment, from where it could be deduced a historical course of the beginning and expansion of the phenomenon. Conditioning factors such as the grammatical person, time, mode and verbal aspect, the conjugate or non-conjugate nature of the verb and transitivity are reviewed, as well as the type of sentence, the lexical aspect, the enunciative modality, the type of speech act and the nature of the reference. Finally, the obtained results are discussed in light of the outcomes of contemporary diachronic studies.
