Variability of cuban spanish: the atlas lingüístico de Cuba (ALCu) and the diccionario geolectal de cuba (DIGECu)

Abstract

Abstract: The Atlas Lingüístico de Cuba (ALCu), concluded in December 2013 after 27 years since it began, is a huge work that treasures –in its five volumes on dvd– abundant and valuable information on the existing linguistic similarities and differences in the Cuban variety of the Spanish language. Based on the data collected in this project, the Diccionario Geolectal de Cuba (DIGECu) was made, which ended in December 2019 Both works are sources of obligatory consultation for the study of the Cuban variety of the Spanish language.
