Cambiar de las jerarquías lingüísticas y culturales en la Costa Caribe de Nicaragua: Reto para la autonomía y la interculturalidad escolar.

  • Héctor Muñoz Cruz

Abstract

Because of functional asymmetries and intense interchanges and interactions in the Carib Coast, the african and indoamerican populations of Nicaragua have interiorized a multidirectional and asymmetric cultural/communicative mode that provides several codes for linguistic communication and allows them to share symbolic and identitary systems. Any change in education or sociocultural dynamics involves should involve a long reach process which entails not only transformations in schooling but also in social and cultural relations, by means of intitutions that “counsel” society towards plural multiculturalism.
