Abstract
Fashion changes in the course of time and then it recalls the trends of former periods adapting them to the demand of the market. The same happens to the language that a society uses to communicate: it takes, leaves behind and takes again, it modifies its elements according to the necessities of the changing time. Many specialists of the Guaraní language call that yopara. And if this is the way of treating the interferences of Spanish and Guaraní, it would be interesting to ask if the lexicon of relationship in the Guaraní of Paraguay is a yopará”. In this paper I compare how the terminology of relationship in the Guaraní language was applied in the course of the centuries. The bases of the analysis are the dictionaries (or vocabularies) that marked the ages and the results of the empiric work of the project of the Atlas Lingüístico Guaraní-Románico.Downloads
