Sobre el uso de las perífrasis verbales de infinitivo y gerundio y las clases aspectuales

Abstract

This paper purpose an study about infinitive and gerundive verbal periphrasis and the verb classes (Aktionsart) in two mexican novels: Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo and 1767. Una novela sobre el destierro de los jesuitas mexicanos by Pablo Soler Frost. On this context, it is possible to see the way how there is a correlation between the verb classes: states, activities, accomplishments and achievements, and the verbal periphrasis. Furthermore, the four verb classes take different aspectual properties in various types of periphrasis.
