El movimiento Qu en el zapoteco de Santiago Sochiapan

Abstract

This article presents an approach to the description and analysis of interrogative constructions and pied-piping with inversion constructions in Santiago Sochiapan Zapotec(ssz). It describes the use of the =n particle and its relation to other constructions such as focus and relative clauses. It also analyzes long-distance wh-movement and multiple wh-constructions. The analysis is made within the theoretical framework of Minimalism.
