THE PROJECT FOR THE SOCIOLINGUISTIC STUDY OF SPANISH FROM SPAIN AND AMERICA, PRESEEA HAVANA. BALANCE AND PERSPECTIVES

Abstract

Abstract: The incorporation of Cuba to “Project for the Sociolinguistic Study of Spanish from Spain and America” (PRESEEA) in 2009 has enabled the creation of a corpus of Havana speaks about 100 hours of recording. In addition, it has made it possible to conduct studies on different aspects, many of them using the same methodology as other project teams, which favors the comparison of results. This article describes the current state of PRESEEA-Havana research, as well as the perspectives on which the work should focus in the near future.
