Tabú: palabras y frases relacionadas con defectos físicos, aspectos sexuales y escatológicos

Abstract

Abstract: In this work we studied the linguistic taboo, to do this, we focus on three taboo areas: sexuality, physical defects and eschatology, based on three social variables —age, sex and level of education— to observe their influence on the production of words and phrases of 18 speakers of 18 to 41 years, nine men and nine women. The analysis shows that there are differences in the knowledge of taboo voices by generation and sex. Likewise, we identify that physical defects are more taboo than sexual and eschatological aspects, an example of this is the number of words obtained, as well as some of their lexical-semantic characteristics.
