El orden de las palabras en la interfase sintaxis-semántica
Abstract
This study deals with word order in Mexican Sign Language. The focus is on constituents that may appear in more than one location in the sentence; evidence is presented to support the claim that different word orders have to be analyzed as a syntax-semantics interface problem. The data presented show that OVI (with SN initial subject or pronoun subject right before V) is the unmarked word order and that variations of this order are not optional but result from semantic/pragmatic requirements.Downloads
